Therefore, it is recommended that you try to update Windows and check if doing so fixes the issue.
AMD Radeon Settings not Opening What Prevents AMD Radeon Settings from Opening?Īfter some careful investigation, we came to the conclusion that the following are the most prominent reasons behind the occurrence of this issue. In this post, we will be addressing this issue and providing you with some simple fixes, solutions, and workarounds to get rid of this issue on your computer.
Used DDU to uninstall everything (turns out I had drivers from my last 2 GPU's still in the computer).AMD is a big player in the GPU game but it has been getting some criticism lately by users that are facing the AMD Radeon Settings not opening issue on their computers. I'm a bit lost, I've never ever seen this happen lolĮdit: I managed to download the driver from another computer, uploaded it to OneDrive and downloaded it from there on my PC which worked for some reason.
I also tried turning off my firewall but the download just stopped even sooner for some reason. I also tried downloading other programs like VLC and Discord and both downloaded perfectly fine. (In the Radeon software the download just stops with no error message) I tried other browsers but they all did the same. This time I get "Failed - Network error" in the download bar.
I started downloading the Windows 10 64-bit version and the same thing happened: the download starts, gets to around 30-50% then just stops. Okay so I went to the AMD driver page to download the driver from there like you said (I'm a bit confused though because after going through the GPU selection I'm directed to the Radeon software page even though I'm looking for just the driver). Pleeeaaase help? This is driving me crazy I have Radeon RX580 and I started noticing this issue with AMD Radeon software version 19.x.x (don't remember exactly which version) and it's been going on with every update since.
Has anybody had this happen to them? Or anybody that knows how to fix this permanently? After resolving the issue I only get around 50-70fps so I feel like I should be getting a lot higher fps if I can fix this whole thing. If I run a game before resolving the "driver and software so not match" I get around 120-160fps but weird visual bugs that make the game unplayable. I've been fixing that issue by doing this. Please try again after updating to the latest version(s)." error message. Just gives me a "Radeon Software and Driver versions do not match. NOW comes the most annoying problem: after updating the graphics driver in device manager AMD Radeon software won't open at all. That in itself isn't that big of a problem, but it becomes a problem afterwards: The AMD Radeon software doesn't say that I have a driver update available, but if I go to device manager and update the graphics driver from there then the driver will update. (Edit: this might sound like low disk space but there's ~100gb free on my ssd) I have to factory reset the software to be able to download the software update. No error message or anything, just stops and goes back to the "update available" and "download now" button. First of all the software itself has issues updating, I click the "download now" button when it tells me there's an update, the software starts downloading the update but just stops when it's at around 30%. I've been having issues with the AMD Radeon software for a while now and googling it only partly solves the problem.
